We are a small ecotourism company that offers a multitude of touristic services in the countryside of the historical Galilee region in Israel. Most of our services are closely intertwined with various ecological and cultural matters. The Galilee is our home; that is the reason for our profound love and knowledge of the area, which is abundant in historical and cultural sites, beautiful landscapes and nature. We offer a unique kind of tourism with a considerate approach to cultural differences and with an attempt to find similarities that bring people from different cultures closer together. We also offer a wide spectrum of activities that deal with various ecological matters and the environment. We believe that these activities provide a great and pleasant experience for the participants. For example, we offer hiking trails amongst historical sites, including accommodation in the homes of the families that live in the villages near by. Other ecological activities include workshops on subjects such as building with mud, goat milk cheese making, grey water recycling techniques, gathering wild herbs and cooking traditional dishes using these herbs, hiking on trails that were built and used in times before Christ, flora and fauna trips and much more. We advise to prolong the trip in the Galilee area and to get to know it better through walking its trails and staying in the homes of the local residents. An additional service that we offer deals with the learning and practicing of the Hebrew language through communication with the host family. One of our main purposes is to present the best of Galilee in an authentic and non-commercialized way. We believe that a close acquaintance with this area will assist one to embrace a simple and healthy way of living, with a consideration of the environment. We offer our visitors our responsibility of all the necessities, with an emphasis on reliability and good interpersonal relations. One of our aspirations is to maintain friendly relations with our guests even after they leave to their home countries All the services we offer are based on our community resources, such as home made food, homestay accommodation, local guides and more.

Another type of accommodation offered is the unique country lodges (known as zimmer cabins) which are typical for Israel and the Galilee region. These cabins are privately owned and carefully built from wood, stone or mud , some of these cabins are much more luxurious than any 5-star hotel and all of them offer a special atmosphere. Land of Galilee offers some of the best zimmers at reduced prices.

Land of Galilee also offers special day tours for exploring this historical area in unique ways: cycling on ancient trails, horseback riding to holy sites, swimming across the Sea of Galilee, visiting organic farms that use old agricultural methods, local medicine herbal guidance and much more. For adventurous individuals we offer various extreme experiences in Israel that include paragliding, rafting and more.

Our theory, about why Israel is the Holy Land for three major religions, is based on a notion that Israel is the worlds main junction of cultures and nature. The tours of Land of Galilee try to show this by discussing subjects such as history, geography, bird migration (millions passing through Israel every year) and visiting Bedouin, Druze and Circassian villages to witness the diversity of cultures in such a small area.

Although Galilee is our specialty, we can arrange tourist services throughout all of Israel.

We are Galit and Alon Kafry from a small village in Israel, we have 4 kids: 2 girls and twin boys. Both of us worked in the high-tech world for 10 years. After we left it, we built our own ecotourism business, which deals with tourism and ecology , two very important subjects for us.

Galit studied industrial engineering, however in the past years she has been dealing with ecological issues such as building with mud, organic farming and pottery.

Alon studied biology and psychology and traveled in many countries, including rural areas such as Papua New Guinea and Micronesia.

We have a lot of experience in traveling with all levels of budgets from luxurious boutique hotels to $1 per night accommodations. We believe that it does not really matter how lavish your trip can be, the most important thing is meeting local people, making local friends and exploring the authentic local way of living. All of this has nothing to do with the size of your budget.

We think that the Galilee area is the most interesting and pleasant area in the Holy Land. Though Israel is an expensive country to visit, we try to offer more reasonable packages, which use local resources to reduce costs. We will tailor make a package to every budget and we are ready to take on any challenge. We love kids, so families with kids are more than welcome. Israel offers many things to do for every age.
