We just got back to Berlin late last night from our nomadic wandering in the desert. After we left your place we went to Jerusalem for the afternoon just to walk to the western wall. You were right about road 90. It was really no problem. We got lost in Jerusalem with the car and ended up in a dark strange place but we quickly got back on track.

Lotan would have been better if we had time to really spend at the kibbutz. We missed the tour that they give of the place. It was most important for us to swim in the Red Sea than to spend time at the kibbutz itself. The people at Lotan were really nice. The shabbat service was wonderful but the dinner was a bit rushed. Simone wasn't impressed with the place for the amount that we paid.

We left Lotan a day early to see friends near Sde Boker and see the spectacular craters. We spent the last days at a moshav near the Dead Sea. Livia managed to defecate in the water. I'm sure someone rubbed her crap on his face the next day. We had a great time in general and missed the sun as soon as we landed in Berlin.

We really enjoyed staying at your place and eating dinner with you in the evenings. Thanks for making us feel welcome in your home. Say hello to Galit and the kids from all of us. I hope we'll be back soon.
